Jas Rivera
Board Member
Jas Rivera is a proud mother of three, an entrepreneur, and one of York’s few Latina auto mechanics. Born into a working‑class family, Jas moved from Puerto Rico to York in the late ’90s—a transition that shaped her resilience, her work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to community.
Jas built her career by being the person people call when they need help. Whether she’s repairing a vehicle, offering guidance, or supporting someone through a difficult moment, she approaches every situation with honesty, practicality, and follow‑through. Her values come from real life: show up, do the work, and stand by your word.
As a business owner and community advocate, Jas believes in boundaries, accountability, and mutual respect. She is intentional about where she invests her energy, choosing to support efforts that uplift families, promote equity, and strengthen York’s Latino community.
Now, as a board member of Latinos Unidos of York, Jas brings her lived experience, her straightforward leadership style, and her dedication to building something solid—for her children, for herself, and for the community she proudly calls home. With no shortcuts and no pretending, Jas is committed to real work, real values, and real impact.
